Josh Roush's ongoing collaboration with Spike and the Gimme Gimmes spans music videos, live concert productions, and original content.
Josh Roush's relationship with Spike Slawson, Audra Angeli-Morse and the Gimme Gimmes grew out of a shared history in the punk rock community and a mutual appreciation for making things a little differently. What began as a working relationship developed into an ongoing collaboration spanning music videos, live performances, original productions, and several worldwide tours.
Known for putting their own irreverent spin on familiar songs, the Gimme Gimmes have provided Roush with an opportunity to bring that same sense of humor and unpredictability to his filmmaking. Working closely with Spike, Audra, CJ Ramone, John Swami, Pinch and Jake, Roush has helped bring the band's personality to the screen, combining the energy of their live performances with a playful, sometimes unconventional visual approach.
Among their collaborations is the music video for "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun," along with additional live concert productions and video content. Roush has also spent time on the road with the band, documenting performances and the personalities behind them.
The ongoing partnership reflects Roush's longstanding connection to punk rock and his preference for working with artists who value creative independence, spontaneity, and a willingness to have some fun along the way.
